2-hour Point System Conference
The 2-Hour Point System Conference is for you if you have accumulated 5, 6, or 7 points on your driving record within a two-year period. You may be aware, this two-year period does not necessarily mean the last two years. If you have recently paid an old citation that caused points to be assessed, your referral could be because of a total of 5, 6 or 7 points that were accrued several years ago. Your required participation in this program should be considered an �early warning� for you to reevaluate your driving habits.

6-hour Driver Improvement Program
The Driving Improvement Program is for any of the following reasons:

a. COURTS In some cases, judges assign individuals to this program when they appear for motor vehicle violations.
b. HEARING OR POINT SYSTEM CONFERENCE Persons who have appeared before an Administrative Law Judge for a hearing may be assigned because of several violations. Persons in this group are scheduled with the understanding that there may be a suspension of their driving privilege should they fail to complete this program. Many persons are also assigned because they failed to attend their two-hour Point System Conference.
c. SUSPENSION Persons may be scheduled who have been suspended.
d. REVOKED Many drivers who have been revoked are required to complete this class before their license is considered for reinstatement.
5. PROVISIONAL DRIVERS LICENSE (GLS) Persons holding a Provisional Drivers License under the Graduated License System (GLS) will be assigned to the Driver Improvement Program upon being convicted of their first moving violation, regardless of their age.
